Nunatsiavut President Johannes Lampe announced today that Roxanne Barbour has been relieved from her position as Minister of Health and Social Development. As a result, she is no longer a member of the Nunatsiavut Executive Council, but will, however, continue to serve as an Ordinary Member for Nain in the Nunatsiavut Assembly.

First Minister Melva Williams will assume the responsibilities of Minister of Health and Social Development on an interim basis.

No further comments will be made on this matter.
