We are extremely grateful for the SEB Program because it allowed us to fully commit our time to forming Inotsiavik and getting set up in our space. Over the past 6 months we have gotten organized and learned a lot about business ownership and operations and we are grateful for the amazing support we have had from Nunatsiavut which helped facilitate this journey. The support from SEB has allowed us to dedicate more of the funding we received to projects in our community that would have had to go to team member salaries if SEB had not been in place. This has been beneficial not only to us, but to the health of our not-for-profit business and for the greater community of our participants who have sought out our organization to learn and to have a place to “live well”.   It is great that the Nunatsiavut Government supports self-employment as it gives the opportunity for individuals to fill gaps that they see in their communities. This kind of program is instrumental in providing jobs and allowing creativity to flow as individuals and teams create livelihoods from their own ideas. We feel very seen and appreciated by NG for our acceptance into this program and hope that many other people apply as well and follow their dreams and callings. We look forward to seeing how the NG Economic Development Department grows over time and finds other ways to support our local entrepreneurs, artists, and community members.
