The Nunatsiavut Government has developed and promoted the Imappivut (Our Oceans): A Nunatsiavut Marine Plan Initiative to protect and manage Labrador Inuit interests in the coastal and marine areas of Labrador. The current focus is the marine area adjacent to Torngat Mountains National Park, called the Torngat Area of Interest (T-AOI). Community engagement sessions will be taking place from from Sept. 22 – 29, 2022.
