The Nunatsiavut Government is seeking applications from Beneficiaries of the Labrador Inuit Land Claims Agreement (LILCA) to serve as one of its appointed representatives on the Torngat Wildlife and Plants Co-management Board (TWPCB).
The primary responsibility of the TWPCB is to make recommendations to Ministers in relation to the conservation and management measures of wildlife, plants, and habitat in the Labrador Inuit Settlement Area. Interested applicants should refer to Chapter 12 of the LILCA, Part 12.9, for the full description of the role of the TWPCB.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have an understanding of Inuit rights, traditional knowledge, and the principles of wildlife and plant co-management, as well as knowledge of conservation principles, policy development, and collaborative management approaches.
