Nunatsiavut Government Infrastructure Division

The Infrastructure Division is a dynamic and skilled group of professionals who play a vital role in shaping the future of our beautiful region. Our mission is to provide reliable, efficient, and sustainable infrastructure services to support the growth and prosperity of Nunatsiavut and its people.

Infrastructure is the foundation of our communities. It includes important things like buildings, water, waste, transportation systems, power lines, and public institutions. Infrastructure is crucial for connecting people, delivering services, promoting community health, and supporting future growth.

Core Duties & Commitment

One of our core duties is the planning, construction, and maintenance of public property owned by the Nunatsiavut Government. We collaborate regularly with the Inuit Community Governments, Government of Newfoundland and Labrador and Government of Canada to support delivery of infrastructure in all areas.

Our commitment extends beyond the physical infrastructure. We recognize the importance of fostering economic growth and opportunities within Nunatsiavut. By collaborating with local businesses and organizations, we strive to promote economic development initiatives by creating jobs and training opportunities.

As stewards of the land and custodians of our cultural heritage, we recognize the importance of developing infrastructure that protects and fosters social, economic, and environmental well-being. We prioritize sustainability, incorporating innovative technologies and environmentally friendly practices into our infrastructure projects.

“At the Infrastructure Division, we are dedicated to transparency, accountability, and community engagement. We value the input and feedback of our residents and stakeholders, working closely with them to identify their needs and priorities. We invite you to explore our website to learn more and share feedback about our projects, initiatives, and services.”
