October 11, 2022

Geotechnical test pitting activities will be ongoing within the Makkovik Subdivision. Tests pits are
small holes dug prior to construction to help ensure suitable ground conditions for larger building
projects. The Nunatsiavut Government is required to complete test pitting to ensure that the
subgrade is adequate for constructing of various infrastructure.
