The Cultural Centre hosts exhibits that tell our story as Labrador Inuit. Programs continue to be offered that engage Inuit, Kablunângajuit (mixed ancestry), and non-Inuit in the history of the Labrador Inuit culture, language, values, and traditions. A focus on cultural programming makes the Cultural Centre a multi-generational gathering and sharing space.
In partnership with the Torngat Mountains National Park, the new Cultural Centre serves as an exclusive travel destination appealing to visitors seeking rich cultural and natural experiences.
The Illusuak Cultural Centre officially opened its doors in November of 2020.
