Tourism Nunatsiavut is responsible for developing and supporting a vibrant tourism industry in Nunatsiavut. The departments role is to provide a sustainable tourism sector for our communities in ways which honour, respect, and bring benefit to the traditions, legacies, and future of Labrador Inuit.
For thousands of years, we have lived off the resources of our beautiful land. Today, we continue to do so in a number of ways while adapting to the many industries that our people have become involved with.
The Nunatsiavut Government (NG) Education Division allocates $100,000 of federal funding annually from the Indigenous Skills & Employment Training (ISETS) Program to operate the Self Employment Benefit (SEB) Program.
The SEB Program allows eligible individuals to receive an income for a 6-month (26-week) period while they start a new business to concentrate on developing and managing their business venture during the crucial start-up period.
