The Nunatsiavut Government is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from qualified businesses and individuals to provide maintenance and inspection services for the Torngat Mountains Base Camp and Research Station (Base Camp) during the upcoming summer season.

Project Overview:

The Base Camp is located on Labrador Inuit Lands, approximately 200 km north of Nain, adjacent to the southern boundary of Torngat Mountains National Park. This initiative aims to establish a list of verified contractors with the necessary expertise, capacity, and willingness to collaborate with the Nunatsiavut Government on maintenance and inspections.

Required Services:

Expressions of Interest are requested from businesses or individuals with experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Alarm and Control Systems Technologist (Fire Alarm System and Emergency Lighting)
  • Fire Extinguisher Inspections
  • Small Appliance Technician (Propane Washing Machines and Dryers)
  • Above-Ground Fuel Tank Maintenance
  • Propane Hot Air Furnace Maintenance
  • Refrigeration Technician (Maintenance for Walk-in Freezer and Cooler)
  • Diesel Mechanic (Yanmar Generators and Heavy Equipment)
  • Red Seal Electrician (Maintenance/Startup of EcoNomad and Bear Fence)
  • Red Seal Plumber
  • Red Seal Carpenter
  • Mechanic (Small Vessel and Vehicle Maintenance)
  • Boat Charter Services
  • Certified Bear Monitor with Valid Firearms License
