The Education Division focuses on programs and services to support Labrador Inuit seeking post-secondary education and/or labour market training.

All Beneficiaries of the Labrador Inuit Land Claims Agreement have the opportunity to access financial assistance for post-secondary education. Effective for the fall 2021 Semester, all post-secondary funding programs will now be administered together under the Education Division. There will no longer be a Post-Secondary Student Support Program (PSSSP) or an Inuit Pathways Funding Program. Instead, all students will be funded under the Education Division Funding Program.

The Education Division Funding Program is able to provide financial and non-financial assistance to eligible students as well as labour market training and business development for Labrador Inuit. In addition to post-secondary training, the Education Division Funding Program also provides assistance for Mobility Assistance, Work Experience Program, Summer Work Program, and Job Start Supports.

All Post-Secondary education funding is administered out of the Education Division office in Makkovik. All correspondence should be directed to [email protected].
